22:50 CET - As soon as they seemed back in it, Granada are two behind once more. Four minutes after Boye's goal, Girona's Yan Couto adds a fourth for his side and that should be enough insurance for all three points.

22:47 CET - Surely not Granada?! The hosts have pulled another back against Girona to make it 3-2 after Lucas Boye heads home with five minutes to play in normal time.

22:43 CET - All over at the City Ground and it finishes 1-1 between Burnley and Nottingham Forest in a game of good finishes and controversy.

22:37 CET - After having an early goal disallowed, Lyle Foster has been sent off for violent conduct. The elbow he flung was spotted by VAR and it's a straight red for the striker. Burnley will be a man down for the final few minutes against Nottingham Forest.

22:26 CET - Another goal in southern Spain as Granada have got one back against Girona, with Myrto Uzuni getting on the scoresheet. Can this spark an unlikely comeback?

22:19 CET - Despite being under pressure for much of the half, Burnley thought they were back in front with 13 minutes to play thanks to Lyle Foster. However, a handball VAR decision has gone the way of Forest, after Sander Berge was adjudged to have handled in the build-up to the goal. The game remains level at 1-1.

A sublime strike from the edge of the box from Callum Hudson-Odoi, which curls in off the far post, has levelled the game for Nottingham Forest against Burnley. There was a VAR check for a handball against Taiwo Awoniyi, but the goal has been cleared and we are all square in the Premier League encounter. 

21:44 CET - Girona now well clear against Granada, David Lopez adding a third 10 minutes before half-time.

21:32 CET - It gets better and better for Girona in Andalusia as they now lead Granada 2-0. In the 31st minute, Brazil Under-20 international Savio pops up to score his first goal for the club, finding the top corner with his strike.

21:27 CET - Over in the Premier League, Burnley have the lead against Nottingham Forest thanks to a fine finish on the edge of the box from Zeki Amdouni. It falls to the midfielder on the edge of the box and he wraps his left foot around it to find the bottom corner.

16:18 CET - Meanwhile, Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka (25) is set to be out for some time after sustaining an injury during their 3-1 loss at home to Brighton & Hove Albion at the weekend, the Premier League club said on Monday.

16:03 CET - The most illustrious club competitions is nearly upon us and we are hearing from the Champions League's biggest sides ahead of the first matchday this week. 

Reigning champions Manchester City start their defence against Red Star Belgrade on Tuesday, with boss Pep Guardiola (53) optimistic of his side's chance of going back-to-back.

He said: ""It'll be easier. The most difficult to win is the first one. It is incredible for us but it is just one."

14:41 CET - A bit of news coming from the UK as veteran manager Neil Warnock (74) is set to leave Championship side Huddersfield Town after Wednesday's game against Stoke City. Warnock signed a one-year contract in the summer after keeping them in the league, but now has decided to step down.

11:40 CET - Romelu Lukaku (30) netted his first goal for loan club AS Roma on Sunday and manager Jose Mourinho said the Belgian forward is happy as he has come to a team that makes him "feel loved".

Lukaku joined Roma on a season-long loan from Chelsea and has reunited with Mourinho, who worked with the 30-year-old at the west London side and Manchester United. Lukaku spent last season on loan with another Serie A club, Inter Milan.

When asked what frame of mind Lukaku was in when he moved to Roma, Mourinho said: "Happy".

"Romelu needs to feel loved and wanted," he added. "When he came here, he could sense the team needed a player like him. I think he's really happy.

9:45 CET - Tottenham Hotspur captain Heung-Min Son said the Premier League club will continue to back Richarlison after the Brazilian forward sparked a stoppage-time comeback against Sheffield United on Saturday. 

"It was tough for him and we all hoped that this game would help his confidence," Son said. "He changed the whole game. That's what we were waiting for.

"This is part of (being a) family," added Son, who also captains South Korea.

9:37 CET - Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Lemar (27) will undergo surgery after rupturing his right Achilles tendon during Saturday's 3-0 loss at Valencia, the LaLiga team said.

The Frenchman, who joined Atletico from AS Monaco in 2018, had left the pitch on a stretcher.

"Following tests carried out on the French player, the medical report from the club's medical services indicates that he has a ruptured right Achilles tendon and will have to undergo surgery," Atletico said in a statement on Sunday.

22:57 CET - Real Madrid have come back against Real Sociedad to win 2-1 at the Bernabeu and continue their perfect start to the LaLiga season - that's now five wins from five league matches.

22:38 CET - A few more results from around Europe are in. Roma were in utterly ruthless form as they thumped Empoli 7-0, with Romelu Lukaku (30) scoring in his first start and Paulo Dybala (29) bagging a brace. Meanwhile, Lyon and Le Havre played out a goalless draw over in France.

22:00 CET - An early strike from Ander Barrenetxea (21) gave Real Sociedad a surprise lead over Real Madrid at the Bernabeu and that’s how it stayed throughout the half - it’s 1-0 at the break.
