Borussia Dortmund striker Sebastien Haller (28), who is suffering from a testicular tumour, will have to undergo surgery. He made the announcement on Twitter.

"I would like to announce that the fight is not over for me yet. I will have to undergo surgery to finally put an end to this tumour that keeps me off the pitch," Haller wrote after the chemotherapy ended.

On Wednesday, BVB came forward with words of support for the Frenchman: "We wish you continued strength, Seb! Stay strong!" the Dortmunders tweeted.

Haller had initially complained of feeling unwell after a session at BVB's training camp in Bad Ragaz in Switzerland in July. The tumour was discovered during intensive medical examinations.
