PSG manager Christophe Galtier has confirmed midfielder Leandro Paredes’ (28) departure to Serie A side Juventus on a loan basis just as the final moments of the summer transfer window arrive.

Ahead of the Parisians’ midweek clash with Toulouse, Galtier confirmed the news: “Leandro will not be part of the group. To be transparent, I spoke with Leandro after training. He has reached an agreement with Juventus, who we will shortly be playing against in September.’’

According to Gianluca Di Marzio and other outlets, the loan agreement is accompanied by a €15 million permanent clause, which becomes obligatory if certain conditions are met. It also includes a potential €5 million in bonuses.

Paredes has been left out of the squad for this week’s Ligue 1 match as he is set to fly to Turin to undergo his medical.

Formerly at Roma and Zenit, he had joined PSG from the Russian side and will now be leaving with 117 appearances in all competitions to his name.
