Espanyol will be relying on Joselu to do some more damage to Barcelona this weekend

Joselu (33) is the only opposition player to score a goal at Camp Nou this season - clear proof of the good defensive performances of Barcelona but also an illustration of how important he will be for Espanyol this weekend.

Joselu is Espanyol's biggest star ahead of the match against Barcelona. The Pericos will be looking to their top scorer to help them stay in the derby against an opponent who, unlike on other occasions, are fully focused on Sunday's potential title clincher.

Any Barca fan would relish the idea of celebrating the title on their neighbours' turf, and that could happen this weekend.

The former Deportivo Alaves player, who already knows what it's like to wear the Spain shirt and even score a brace in it, has found the net 15 times for his club this season (14 in LaLiga and once in the Copa del Rey). He has also dished out three assists.

More than a third of the goals scored by his team this season have his stamp on them, a figure that shows how important he was for Diego Martinez and still is for Luis Garcia.

It is also worth noting that he is one of only nine players who have managed to beat Marc-Andre ter Stegen since the competition kicked off back in August. In total, they have let in just 11 goals, with two of them being own goals (Jules Kounde and Ronald Araujo).

Incredibly, Joselu is also the only opposition player to have celebrated a goal on Barca's pitch, albeit a penalty.

Apart from the Stuttgart-born striker, the other players to have scored against Barcelona are Alexander Isak, Karim Benzema, Fede Valverde, Rodrygo, David Garcia, El Bilal Toure, Alvaro Garcia and Fran Garcia.

That list doesn't look likely to grow too much in the coming weeks when they come up against Real Valladolid and Celta Vigo but just maybe Joselu can add another to his tally for Espanyol on Sunday.
