With his goal against West Ham, Erling Haaland (22) has now reached 35 goals in the Premier League this season, a feat not achieved before in the modern era.

In all competitions, the Norway international has scored 51 goals in 45 games for Manchester City this term.

"I don't think about it now," said Haaland after setting the new record.

"I am going to sleep and tomorrow is a new day. We can't dwell on these records, then I would go crazy, so I don't think about it.

"I'm going to play video games at home, eat something and then sleep. And then think about the game against Leeds. That's my life.

"It was a special night. I'm very happy and proud, what else can I say?" said Haaland after the match against West Ham.
