The women's final is confirmed to be between Elena Rybakina and Anhelina Kalinina after both semi-finals took place yesterday. Today, however, the spotlight shifts to ATP as both final four matches are on display today. 00:16 CET - A sorry ending to a great tournament for Anhelina Kalinina (26) as the Ukrainian has been forced to retire in the final against Elena Rybakina (23). The Kazakh star was 6-4, 1-0 up in the match before Kalinina abandoned the game.

22:31 CET - After sealing the first set 7-5, Daniil Medvedev (27) has won the second set by the same score to see off Stefanos Tsitsipas (24) in straight sets, setting up tomorrow's final with Holger Rune (20).

21:52 CET - Rain has once again proven to be the biggest enemy of the tournament in Rome this week, with Stefanos Tsitsipas and Daniil Medvedev's semi-final delayed by more than four hours under leaden skies. They are back out playing though with the Russian third seed winning the first set 7-5.

15:54 CET - Holger Rune's (20) chances of winning another clay title this just increased as he defeated Casper Ruud (24) in a three-set match ending in 6-7, 6-4, 6-2. He is set to face the winner between Stefanos Tsitsipas and Daniil Medvedev.

7:29 CET - Ukraine's Anhelina Kalinina (26) said she was determined to give her war-torn country something to cheer about with her achievements on the tennis court after beating Russian 11th seed Veronika Kudermetova (26) to reach the final of the Italian Open.

Kalinina's entire family is now in Kyiv following Russia's invasion of Ukraine - which Moscow calls a "special military operation" - but constantly face danger. A bomb recently exploded near a tennis academy that her parents run.

She said her elderly grandparents had also relocated from their family home in the southern city of Nova Kakhovka, which is currently occupied by Russian soldiers.

"It's really important to win every match, because of what Ukraine goes through," Kalinina said after her 7-5 5-7 6-2 win on Friday.

"I really hope that I give a tiny, small light, maybe some positive emotions for my country. So I really hope that Ukraine enjoys a little bit."

7:03 CET - The WTA Italian Open final is here, Indian Wells champion Elena Rybakina takes on underdog world number 47 Anhelina Kalinina this evening. Both players booked their places in the final after defeating their respective opponents in Jelena Ostapenko and Veronika Kudermetova.

Holger Rune (20) kicks the day off with the first semi-final, the talented youngster takes on world number four Casper Ruud (24) to progress to the last round. Rune will be looking to bring home his second clay title of the year after his Munich triumph.

Meanwhile, Stefanos Tsitsipas (24), last year's runner-up and world number five is looking to redeem himself. To complete the feat he needs to get past on form world number three Daniil Medvedev (27) in order to take another shot at the title.
