Both the ATP and WTA Madrid Opens are reaching the business end of things. The women's semi-finals were completed on Thursday while the last of the men's quarter-finals took place as well. Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka both won to set up a final on Saturday. On the men's side, the big news was Stefanos Tsitsipas being sent home by Jan-Lennard Struff.

00:30 CET - No surprises in the day's final match as Iga Swiatek (21) absolutely crushes Veronika Kudermetova (26) 6-1, 6-1.

Swiatek has been in incredibly dominant form of late and it will take something special to beat her in the final. She will play Aryna Sabalenka (24) in the decider on Saturday.

23:00 CET - Jan-Lennard Struff (33) has upset Stefanos Tsitsipas (24) to proceed to the last four a the Madrid Open where he will meet another surprise semi-finalist Aslan Karatsev (29). The match ended 7-6, 5-7, 6-3.

17:35 CET - Aryna Sabalenka's (24) stunning form shows no sign of letting up, as she is into yet another final in 2023. The Belarusian has defeated Maria Sakkari (27) 6-4 6-1, and she will face the winner of the second semi-final between Iga Swiatek (21) and Veronika Kudermetova (26) which takes place later today.

8:16 CET - Things are really beginning to heat up in Madrid now, as the women target a spot in the Madrid final. Iga Swiatek (21) and Aryna Sabalenka (24) will be eyeing a potential rematch of the Stuttgart final, which would be a mouthwatering affair.

But first, Sabalenka must get past Maria Sakkari (27), with that contest starting at 16:00 CET.

Swiatek faces Veronika Kudermetova (26) at around 21:30 CET, and the Russian will be looking for another scalp after defeating Jessica Pegula (29) yesterday.

In the last of the men's quarter-finals, Zhizhen Zhang (26) aims to continue his historic run when he goes up against Aslan Karatsev (29) at 13:00 CET.

Stefanos Tsitsipas (24) and Jan-Lennard Struff (33) go head to head at 20:00 CET, with the Greek on course for another final meeting with Carlos Alcaraz (19), after his bruising defeat to the Spaniard in Barcelona recently.
