23:24 CET - Borna Coric (26) has cruised past Daniel Altmaier (24) 6-3, 6-3 to set up a semi-final with Carlos Alcaraz (19).
22:15 CET - Our Flash Moment of the day on the women's side comes from the match between Jessica Pegula (29) and Veronika Kudermetova (26).
Although the American Pegula lost, she did manage to pull off one exquisite drop shot.
21:20 CET - Iga Swiatek (21) has defeated Petra Martic (32) to move into the semi-finals at the Madrid Open. It just feels like the Pole is unstoppable at the moment and she made light work of Martic, winning 6-0, 6-3 in a little over one hour.
Swiatek will next play Veronika Kudermetova (26).
18:12 CET - Moving briefly away from the action in Madrid, it has been confirmed that Emma Raducanu (20) will miss the French Open and Wimbledon after undergoing surgery.
18:08 CET - Top seed Carlos Alcaraz (19) has made it through in Madrid, beating Karen Khachanov (26), who put up quite the fight in the second set but couldn't quite force a decider - the match ended 6-4, 7-5.
16:25 CET - Over in the doubles, top seeds Wesley Koolhof (34) and Neil Skupski (33) have been beaten 6-3, 6-2 by Rohan Bopanna (43) and Matthew Ebden (35) in the men's quarter-finals, while Victoria Azarenka (33) and Beatriz Haddad Maia (26) have won 7-6, 7-5 against Paula Badosa (25) and Bethanie Mattek-Sands (38) in the women's draw.
15:13 CET - And we have our first result of the day in the Spanish capital. American Jessica Pegula (29) has fallen at the hands of Veronika Kudermetova (26), with the Russian claiming a 6-4, 0-6, 6-4 victory over last year's runner-up.
